This is one of the more family friendly beaches, we have been told, in the Biarritz area.  The shoreline is a bit more shallow than the surrounding areas and there is also a really great playground nearby that is completely fenced in.  We were really excited to take the kids and explore this little beach.  So we packed a picnic and went on our way.

As we walked down the paved path that led to the beach, we tried to scope out the best area to lay out our beach mat.  As we moved our way through the crowd of people, we found ourselves surrounded by many topless women and a couple of men in Euro man thongs (eeeeeew) laying out to tan.  Totally forgot about that being a social norm at French beaches, I guess even at some of the family ones.  Coming from conservative Utah, we couldn't help but laugh (inside) as this caught us off guard but out here, its not a big deal.

We did find a perfect spot to setup our mat and the kids really did enjoy this beach, as the water level was just perfect for them.  During the month of August, most of the beaches in the Biarritz area are quite crowded due to the tourism but I hear that they settle down in September.
